FORGET-ME-NOT IN THE PRESS

Warrington Guardian & Midweek Guardian July 2012
TUDOR TIMES ARE REVISITED.
Tudor times were brought back to life for children.  Children's author Barbara Mitchelhill visited local schools to promote her latest book Road to London which is set in this period.  Former teacher Barbara led workshops and gave pupils a chance to experience what it was like to live in those days by trying on some historic costumes. The visits were organised by forget-me-not toy & bookshop.

PUPILS IMPRESS WITH TITANIC POEMS
Pupils at Newchurch Primary School, Culcheth, impressed judges in a Titanic poetry competition so much, (forget-me-not) decided to increase the number of prizes on offer.  The competition, organised by forget-me-not in collaboration with Usborne books, gave Key Stage 2 youngsters the opportunity to write poems to mark the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

SHOP CELEBRATES 25 YEARS IN BUSINESS
A popular shop in the centre of Culcheth is celebrating 25 years in business.  To mark the occasion, forget-me-not is raising money for Claire House Children's Hospice - a charity they have supported for the last three years.  Customers have been invited to put their handprint on canvas with forget-me-not making a donation to the hospice for each handprint they collect.  All the canvasses are on display at the shop.

Culcheth's go-ahead toy and book shop forget-me-not is bucking the trend.  While major national chains are cutting back, owners Naomi and Victoria are expanding their business at the CPS Centre again.  From this month they will have more space for an even bigger range of toys and books.  Naomi said: "We are constantly on the lookout for new products and services for our customers. We have lots of great ideas and are looking forward to introducing them to the new look shops."
